About
Manifesto
Most teams leave thinking about security until the develop, test and deploy phases of a product lifecycle. If at all.
The cost of a security failure at these points is high, sometimes fatally so, for the product and business.
Some teams do think about security earlier - in the requirements phase that tends to be a risk assessment; in the design phase it's often in the form of threat modelling.
But both of those are typically manual, often very slow, usually happen once at a point in time, require senior buy-in, and the significant investment of time and money, not to mention the expertise required to do them.
Perceptive exists to solve this problem.
It does so by adding continuous automated security assessments earlier in a secure software development lifecycle, providing vital insights at the point of requirements gathering and design specification - just when they're needed most.
The result is less wastage in development, more knowledgable product teams on security matters, and ultimately more secure products - which is what we all want.
Together, we can build more secure products.
